- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk, divided
- 2 large eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves, for garnish (optional) Directions: Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. The onion and garlic should be cooked until soft, about 5 minutes. When the beef is browned, add it to the mixture. Add the tomato sauce, water, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper, and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a baking dish 8×8 inches with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, flour, and 1/2 cup of milk.
